Macro wildlife photographer Joseph Ferraro has been nominated for the Nuveen People’s Choice Award in the internationally recognized Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, organized by the Natural History Museum.

His image Ready to Pounce was selected from more than 60,000 entries from photographers across over 110 countries, placing it among the 24 photographs shortlisted for the global public vote.

Ferraro’s work focuses on documenting the tiny wildlife most people overlook — from jumping spiders to leaf miners — revealing the remarkable biodiversity found in everyday environments.

His nominated photograph is currently on digital display at the Natural History Museum in London and included in the competition’s highlights book.
